About Us

Welcome from Lee Walker, Principal of Stowupland High School

I am delighted to welcome you to our school. We provide an extensive academic curriculum alongside a broad range of extra-curricular activities designed to appeal to the widest interests. We are fortunate to occupy a large site in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, with an array of specialist facilities and teaching spaces to support the wide range of examination courses we offer.

We want our students to develop into well-rounded young people, with the academic knowledge and personal skills needed to take their place in society. Our curriculum is designed to inspire and motivate in equal measure. We are part of the Oxlip Learning Partnership, working in partnership with other schools in the area to enable our staff and students to thrive.

We expect our students to be prepared to work hard, to meet demanding academic targets and to have the personal qualities needed to meet our high expectations. Students are encouraged to participate in the vibrant wider life of the school, as we believe that such experiences help to develop important life skills and enable their growth as confident young adults and responsible citizens. We are committed to making a difference to the lives of our students, helping to shape them as rounded young people with the skills and qualities for any walk of life or area of employment.

In short, our vision is for all students to leave our school having reached the highest standards of academic excellence and personal responsibility. We believe wholeheartedly in the power of knowledge to transform lives.
